Hello!
The bright nights are here! Hallelujah!
Poor Miss Jones thought she was redundant, we've hardly spent any time together recently. I did alter a dress a couple of weeks ago but I haven't MADE anything in so long, call it lack of motivation, getting used to new working routine or just having lots of other things to do, I just neglected her. But today I don't know what has come over me! A sudden urge that I must make something for my Etsy Shop! So I sat down with Miss Jones and got reacquainted over some pretty pink cushion covers. It feels great to have made something and get back into the swing of making again I love this fabric!

Cathedral Quarter Murals
It's Saturday and I'm sitting in my favourite cafe people watching, having a coffee and blogging from my phone! Not a bad way to spend a damp Saturday morning in my book.
I love graffiti, I'd love to see more it! Or buildings painted bright colours it would certainly brighten up a day like today. So in search of some colourful walls I took a stroll around the back streets of Belfast's Cathedral quarter to see what people are saying...
My favourite place for coffee in Belfast, Clements
Just realised my coffees going cold! Best be off!
Have a brilliant weekend everyone xx

I like cats
A parcel in the doormat waiting for me when I got home has made me a happy girl today! My new phone cover from www.i-like-cats.co.uk has arrived! I first discovered I like cats when we visited Brighton last December, we stumbled across a craft fair and here was table full of cat badges, cards, rings, cushions! All designed and made in the UK! This isn't a sponsored post (I don't do sponsored posts!) it's just I really like cats! Follow @tobyilikecats on Instagram to stay up to date!
Happy Tuesday everyone! Xx

Nothing is wasted only reproduced
Hello!
A little mirror make over to share with you. The mirror that used to hang in our hallway had nowhere to go after I changed things around, not one to get rid of things much I thought I could give it a new look with some fabric left over from my dress alteration. I covered it in fabric scraps using pva glue and hung the finished mirror the other way, it's got quite a deep frame so it doubles up as a little shelf. Now hanging proudly on the bedroom wall.
Hope you're all having a lovely weekend xxx

Come Fly With Me
Hello!
This weekend my sister and I are performing a cheesy airline routine with the dance class we've been going to. We've practised A LOT! So fingers crossed we'll remember the moves and not make a complete mess of it! Feeling excited and nervous!! I'm pretty sure if I ever hear Come Fly With me after the performance I'll suddenly burst into the routine, it's definitely going to be my new party piece! Costume is a red dress and to finish off the look I made us each a little red felt hat. I've just got a new phone (I'm blogging from it right now) and I'm a little obsessed with the A Beautiful Mess App so here are some pics of me in my hat a beautiful mess stylee!
Hope this worked! If it has then I'll be blogging on the hop in future!
Happy Wednesday everyone xx

Hearts and Flowers
Hello!
Back to porridge today after a lovely St Patrick's weekend, it was nice to be off for three days and to get out for a big walk in the forest, enjoy the first picnic of the year and spend fun afternoon thrifting with the big lad in the charity shops of Ballymena.
I bought this dress from the Hope Charity shop in Lurgan on a recent day out with my mum and dad. The dress was a few sizes to big, I tried it on in the freezing cold changing room anyway because I loved the floral pattern, I thought it would be a simple enough job to alter this dress. I roped sister bob into pinning the dress then I sewed up the sides and took the hem up by a few inches.
Boiiinng!

Paddy's Parade!
Happy St Patrick's Day!!
This years St Patrick's carnival celebrations in Belfast were on a time travel theme, the star of the show for me was the very cool Delorean car fromBack to the Future! Very proud of my two sisters Christine and Kathryn who work with The Beat to make the costumes and floats for the carnival.
Then it was home for treats made by Claire from The Lily Pink Bakery they did taste as good as they look!
