Sometimes it nice to get off the path and see what else is round the corner. Cycling last weekend along a path I decided to go off the track and I found a little patch of wild flowers. Currently I'm back in the sadle as I have my sisters bike on loan, she's off on her travels and it's so nice to be out cycling again. The thirty year old bike I bought from gumtree with one working gear wasn't quite cutting it but I will definately buy a bike soon.

Weekend love
Hello!
This weekend I've been enjoying hanging out with the cats, making new clothes for Pippa, day tripping with the big lad, coastal walks, picking beachy wildflowers, lunch in my favourite harbour town cafe, charity shop mooches, picking strawberries from the garden, watching Game of Thrones and the best thing about this weekend, there's a whole week off work ahead!
I lasted about half an hour in the same room as the wild flowers then they sadly had to go, Hay fever sucks!!!
Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

April showers bring May flowers
Hello,
After the winter our garden is always a complete mess, spring comes and the tidy up starts to make it summer ready. The fence has been given a lick of grey paint I had left over from painting the floor, floor paint works as fence paint surely (I hope). The flower beds and garden bench were painted too in paint I had lying around. To add some all year round colour I made a flower stencil so that when summer goes we'll still have something colourful to look at. This week I made some bunting for the strawberry patch and planted some flowers in the palette flower beds. The garden is ready but I'm still waiting for the weather to catch up!

"Love is the flower you've got to let grow" John Lennon
Hello!
Do you ever think of someone you haven't seen in a while and next thing you see them, or think of something and next thing you know it happens? It happens to me all the time! On a recent mooch around the charity shops I thought I'd like to find one of those patterned glass jugs and low and behold the first charity shop I went into and there it was on the shelf! A perfect pattern of red and yellow flowers! I bought a bunch of flowers almost identical to the pattern to brighten up our living room.

Sharing the love
Hello! And happy St Valentines Day to you all!
Yesterday after work I helped a friend in the madness that is a florists before St Valentines Day! My jobs were to dethorn the roses and I had a go a making bouquets. I absolutely love flowers but last night opened my eyes, a florist is seriously hard work but it was all bouquet in the end. My friends recently had a van makeover, although it seems to be confusing a lot of people, does no one get the word association!!?? Botany any flowers recently? Don't get it....bought any flowers recently.
Since the new year I've been writing one motivational love letter a week and leaving it for someone to find. Every Sunday night I head to the craft room and pen my letter then during the week I'll choose my moment to leave it, could be in a tree or on a bus stop or anywhere. You never know who will find the letter but I hope that my letters have brought a few smiles the people who picked found them!
To share some love today I've filled some tiny envelopes with a message of love, some hearts and a chocolate, I'll go for a walk later and give them to people.

From the garden
Hello,
I'm in that weird post holiday funk, I've EVEN been cooking and cleaning, the big lad thinks somethings up. A bunch of flowers picked from the garden to brighten the mood and all those pennies saved from not buying them can go towards the next holiday!
It was toilet roll doll's laundry day.
Hope you're all having a great week x

There's always an alternative
Hello!
So it's that time of year again . Traditional in Protestant areas bonfires are built and lit on the 11th of July. A LOT of pallets are used to build these bonfires but there's always an alternative if you choose to see things from a differnent outlook. Two pallets that I found out the back of work escaped a firey end by coming home with me. The big lad removed a couple of the slats and with some leftover paint I added a bit of colour. Filled with soil and some colourful plants and we now have a raised flower bed. I love how this turned out, I have plans, just need a few more pallets..... it's annoying me everytime I go past a bonfire I just want to rescue a few more!
Check out Pinterest for loads more ideas with pallets! Inspired!
