Beach and Boot Sale

Hello!
Today was the perfect day for a drive to Dundrum for a mooch around the boot sale then to Tyrella for a walk along the beach. Sunny enough to feel warm, windy enough to blow the cobwebs away. The beach was pretty deserted apart from a few wind surfers making the most of the gorgeous day. On Friday I had all my hair cut off, so it's back to being super short, I'd forgotten that wind and short hair do not make for a good look, I must invest in some super strength hairspray for the coming windy months....Anyhow, the boot sale at Dundrum was packed, giddy from the smell of Dinky donuts and exhilarated by the sea air we set off to find treasure! The big lad bought three records for 2 pounds and I bought some dollies, a babycham glass and an Enid Blyton book for my friend to add to her collection, all delighted....

Have you found anything good at a boot sale recently?

I'm off to make a pot of soup and to finish a picture that has been needed to be finished for a looooonnng time!
Hope you're all having a lovely weekend xx

Damn Fine Coffee Cup Pots

Hello!
I have  (a hem...) a few coffee cups around the house and I like to find alternative uses for everyday items so I used some as little plant pots, they're perfect for little succulents. I filled my cups for a bathroom window sill garden....

What alternative uses do you use cups for?

Have a great weekend everyone xx

The day the country came to town

Bout ye?
Country comes to town is an annual event in my home town that until yesterday I had never actually been to! The streets of Portadown are closed off to make way for vintage cars, tractors, stalls, food, live animals, crafts and country music. I took a wee jaunt down with my sisters, the craic was ninety and to make things even better we came home with a lock of stuff from the charity shops (of which there are many!)

Wee Tom
Big thumbs up Portadown, Country comes to town 2013 was tremendous! Thon was a powerful day out! You can take the gerl out of Portadown but you can't take the Portadown out of the gerl

Hope you're all having a great weekend xx

North Street Belfast, so it is

Welcome to North Street, it's fair to say the buildings are a bit dilapidated but they've definitely got the best shutters in all of Belfast! Early Saturday morning....

It was a sad day when the North street Arcade burnt down, happy foundation year art college days, tattoos and cafe Arcadia, I'd love to see this place restored

My favourite shutter, Mr White, only 2 episodes left people!!

don't forget to look up

Have a great weekend everyone xx
