The Belfast flea something for the weekend

Hello!
This Sunday is the fourth Belfast flea! The market is on from 12 to 6pm in the sunflower bar just off north street. Have a rummage for records, secondhand clothing, plants, bric-à-bra all in the settings of the sunflower bar so there's the added bonus of having pizza and a pint while you're there. The pizza is SO good!! The months flea will be bigger and  better with 20 stalls all jam packed. The flea is a chilled out little fair, with a friendly fun atmosphere and pizza, and if there's pizza then you're always onto a winner. The Belfast flea is held on the last Sunday of the month in the sunflower bar.
Have a great weekend everyone!

The chaotic craft room

Hello,
I doesn't seem that long ago that I was moving stuff around in the craft room to make space for the dolls house shelves. The dolls house making has come to a bit of a stand still, and the craft room has become a little bit untidy, but not in the I've been making a creative mess way but it's the room were we put stuff we're not using. Yesterday after work I decided enough was enough and I needed to claim back some space. I really enjoy making the miniatures but it was annoying me that I haven't done any making in ages! That sounds silly, getting annoyed but I'm the kind of person that wants everything done right now. I've moved stuff around again, mixing the things I use everyday with the miniatures I've made and instantly I feel calmer and so does the room.
The real dolls house is storage for bits and pieces of art and craft stuff, pretty and useful now too.
Hope you're all having a lovely week x

Four

Hello,
I'm a bit late but better late than never so here's a belated blog birthday post. My blog is FOUR! My first blog post was very short, back then I was blogging about home changes and DIYs but as time has went on and we've settled into our home the blog has become less about things I'm changing and just about living and the things I love. I guess that's the blog journey and a reason why I like to keep posting, it's my visual diary, the paper diary I was never able to keep at. My approach to blogging has relaxed now too, You shouldn't write a blog because you feel you have too, but because you feel like you want to. I'm rambling!!! And getting sentimental! So anyway, blogging is great! I love it and although my posts are few and far between these days it's a nice place to come back to and pour out what's in your head.
My friend Kathryn took this photo of me on a recent amble up the local mountain. I love it! Thank you for reading blog friends xxx

Found Wildflowers

Hello
Sometimes it nice to get off the path and see what else is round the corner. Cycling last weekend along a path I decided to go off the track and I found a little patch of wild flowers. Currently I'm back in the sadle as I have my sisters bike on loan, she's off on her travels and it's so nice to be out cycling again. The thirty year old bike I bought from gumtree with one working gear wasn't quite cutting it but I will definately buy a bike soon.
And here's one of my favourite photos of my mum taken in the late 60s, looking beautiful in some roadside wildflowers.
Hope you're all having a lovely week x

Say what you want to say

Hello!
The joys of being able to blog on the go, after a lovely cycle, as I write this I'm sitting outside a cafe in the sun having morning coffee. Simply blogging is double the fun now, I used to spend hours putting photos onto our laptop, partly because of my dinosaur computer skills and the laptop being ready for the bin. Anyway I'm going off the subject! Just wanted to share some of the banners I've been making! All you fabric lovers out there will know what I mean when I say "right I'm not buying any more fabric" only to walk into a vintage shop or charity shop and fall in love with a print! That's me! So for as long as I'm addicted to buying fabric I will keep on sewing!
Have a lovely weekend everyone! Thanks for reading xx

Dolls house hallway

Hello!
In an effort to get outside more progress on the dollshouse has slowed, although summer in Northern Ireland means rain so I'll probably be back making before you know it! After the living room I started on the hallway. Here's how it's looking, oh and I got a cat! Tuxedo as named by an Instagram friend, Tux for short.
The kitchen will be next! Colour suggestions welcome!
Hope you're all having a good week

Miami Mint

Hello,
On the blog today the spare bedroom getting a makeover with a lick of paint. This room has always been white, white is clean, white is safe, white is easy to clean, who doesn't have a tin of white paint lying around to touch up marks? White is great, I love white, but I had an urge and you know what happens when you get the urge, well for me until the job is done I can't stop thinking about it! The perfect shade was Miami Mint and I love how the room turned out, it might just be a little bit harder to get it back to white the next time I have one of my urges!

Have you been acting on any urges recently?
Hope you're all having a good week x

Weekend love

Hello!
This weekend I've been enjoying hanging out with the cats, making new clothes for Pippa, day tripping with the big lad,  coastal walks, picking beachy wildflowers, lunch in my favourite harbour town cafe, charity shop mooches, picking strawberries from the garden, watching Game of Thrones and the best thing about this weekend, there's a whole week off work ahead!

I picked up a couple of things in the charity shops, these gorgeous glass deer, a new friend for Pippa and from the £1 sale rail a new shirt and jumper!
I lasted about half an hour in the same room as the wild flowers then they sadly had to go, Hay fever sucks!!!
Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!
