Newbies

Hello!
It's been a while since I've shared any of my vintage finds here on the blog. I still love nothing more than an afternoon mooching around the charity shops and when I'm lucky enough to find something I really love then I'll treat myself, my favourites are 1960s pottery and kitsch cats. Here are the newbies to my vintage collective....

This gorgeous deer's head, a present from my friend, found it's home on the living room wall.

A car boot find, this floral bin is perfect for my craft room/wardrobe

New lampshade, bought for £1, little bunny night light, I couldn't resist and the cutest hand cream a present from the big lad

This fab casserole dish, it belonged to my mums neighbour

And last but not least, a cute little deer letter holder, bought on a recent charity shop mooch with my mum.

Off The (Bedroom) Wall

Hello!
Just want to say a big hello and thank you to all my blog readers and followers! Thank you!!
My week was going great until last night when date night turned disaster after I slipped in Boojum then banged my head on a sharp corner on the way back up, WOOPS!! I did however manage to blag a free Boojum tshirt after the whole drama!
Anyhow moan over and onto my lastest bedroom changes....Our bedroom wall looked a little bit like this until recently....

It was time for a cleaner look. Everything came down, nails pulled out, holes filled in, paint fixed and a new simplified wall, his and hers vintage pictures and a colourful string of lights.....

Goodbye January, you've been great! I've really enjoyed my January selfies photography challenge. During the last days of January I enjoyed mediation, face masks, cinema trips, dance classes, meeting up with friends and wearing cat socks.....

The Craftroom Takeover

Before Christmas the craft room had become a bit of a mess then when my sister in moved I wanted her to have her own space. Something had to give so that Bob could have a room of her own so the craft room quickly doubled up as my walk in wardrobe. I had to rejig the room and buy an extra set of drawers, I needed somewhere to hang my clothes but didn't want to buy a wardrobe as the room is pretty small, then Craig from the fab Used Unique Boutique suggested trying a ceiling support pole. It works on a tension system and I used it horizontally to create my makeshift wardrobe, it worked a treat. I also used some chains to hang skirts and shirts and suitcases to store shoes. My sewing table is a drop leaf table so it folds away when not in use for extra space.....here's the new look

Sunday Sewing

Hello,
It feels like ages since I've sat down at my sewing machine and spent the afternoon sewing. It's a mixture of having a new routine, I'm enjoying chilling out at the minute and recharging my batteries plus the small matter of the craft room being upside turned upside down. The time was right on Sunday and Miss Jones came out of hibernation of an afternoon of blissful sewing, together we made a colourful cushion, I've missed the old girl....
