A Fresh Pair

My Tuesday chore list included change the bed sheets, well not happy with just putting on fresh pre-made sheets I decided to make some fresh new pillowcases from some vintage sheets I bought a while ago.thing is making new pillowcases rather than putting on ones I already have takes triple the amount of time so nothing else on the list was done! Woops, at least we have four nice pillowcases now. I simply used an existing pillowcase as a pattern and got sewing, very easy to make, just one long length of fabric and a two lines of stitching and Bob's your uncle or in my case sister.

Hope you're all having a great week x

Ta-Tah the finished kitchen!

Our kitchen makeover has been a gradual one that has taken nearly a year to complete. After the smashed up vintage plates mosaic was finished the next job on the list was to paint all the kitchen cupboards white. I've wanted to do this since we moved in 5 years ago but it always seemed like such a big job, actually it wasn't. Instead of rushing it we took off a couple of doors at a time, sanded them and painted them, we had the whole kitchen done in 2 weeks. Then the floor, I loved the old tiles but they were extremely dirty and the floor was always freezing, we didn't have much cash so we just went for cheapo sticky tiles and they do the job just fine. Our kitchen looks so much brighter now, I especially tidied up for these photos too, just for you!

Next room on the DIY list is the shower room, it badly needs a.lick of tile paint to freshen it up, I'll get round to it!
Hope you're all having a good start to the week xxx

From the garden

I'm in that weird post holiday funk, I've EVEN been cooking and cleaning, the big lad thinks somethings up. A bunch of flowers picked from the garden to brighten the mood and all those pennies saved from not buying them can go towards the next holiday!

It was toilet roll doll's laundry day.
Hope you're all having a great week x
